Bahar started her harp studies with Sevin Berk in the Ankara State Conservatory and is graduated from the class of Kaysu Dogansoy. In 1986, she won a mansion, in the International Charpentier Harp Contest in Paris as being within the first five. During 1990-1991 season, Bahar got the high success diploma in Susana Mildonia’s class in Academia Chigiana in Siena, Italy. In this same year, she played in Cavalleria Rusticana Opeara with Russian Philharmonic Orchestra where the famous opera artists like Shirley Verret and Kristian Johannessen sing. Bahar worked and gave concerts with Gloria Agostini in New York during 1992-1993.
Bahar played many concertos in various orchestras. She worked in Ankara State Opera and Ballet Orchestra as Harp Group Chief and in Hacettepe University State Conservatory as Harp teacher.
Due to the dedication of year 2000 to Bach, Bahar released a CD with flutest Günay Yetiz and cellist Aysegül Göksel.
Bahar is still working in Istanbul Symphony Orchestra as harpist.
